Calculate CO₂-Savings

Assumptions:

• CO₂ emissions of an internal combustion engine: Average of 0.15 kg CO₂ per kilometre for a petrol or diesel engine.

• CO₂ emissions of the German electricity mix: Average of 0.028 kg CO₂ per kilometre when using the current German electricity mix.

• CO₂ emissions with 100% green electricity: It is assumed that no CO₂ emissions are generated when using 100% green electricity (0.00 kg CO₂ per kilometre).

• CO₂ sequestration by trees: It is assumed that a tree sequesters an average of around 500 kg of CO₂ per year.

• These assumptions help to illustrate the savings and their comparison. They can be adjusted depending on the availability of new data and current environmental guidelines.
